Connexions 4 Youth

Connexions 4 Youth, Park Lane Youth Centre, welcomes anyone aged 13 to 19, living on Woodside to become a member. Membership is free.

Something for Everyone

Full-time Youth Development Worker Joanne Moon along with 9 part-time youth development workers (Cal, Adelaide, Julie, Maz, Mark, Rachel, Cindy and Zoe) and many volunteers are presently running a variety of action packed, young people focused, sessions, trips and activities.

Tuesday:

Park Lane Centre – 16–19/ NEET Drop In – 1pm /6pm– Access to information on jobs, education and employment, housing and benefits advice, sexual health and well being information, as well as accredited training opportunities. Food available between 1pm –2pm

Madeley: Chec Cafe – Drop In – 3pm/6pm - A joint project between the Youth Development Service and Connexions. A drop in chill-out time after school for all young people. Why not call in and get some - free food!

Park Lane Centre - Just 4 You. 6.30pm/8.30pm - New 6 week programme of personal development, with lots of fun activities. Invitation only

Wednesday:

Park Lane Centre - Open Mixed Youth Club 6.30pm/8.30pm - Planned activities (music, pool, games, art) or just chill out time or an opportunity to plan you're own activities.

Park Lane Centre - Shy Project Shy Project - 6.30pm/8.30pm

- SHY 'Drop-in' service is a Confidential, Information and Support Health project on a Wednesday night, running during the Open Mixed Youth Club. Health Issues such as-Sexual Health (Condom usage and handout), C-Card Point, Changes in your body, Help to Quit Smoking, Healthy Eating, Mental Health, or anything else that may concern you.

Thursday:

Park Lane Centre - Transition Group 6.45pm/8pm - For young people moving from Junior Youth Club to Senior Youth Club. (Years 9 to 11) - 6.45pm to 8.45pm

Youth Action Group (Monthly)

We are currently recruiting young people, who are keen to be part of Park Lane Youth Action Group. This group will be the 'Voice Of Young People' using Park Lane and living in Woodside, to give ideas, advice and help the youth workers at Park Lane Youth Project to make the building and area of Woodside more young people friendly.

Where are we?

The Youth Project has its own entrance situated to the rear of the new Park Lane Centre, Park Lane, Woodside, Telford. Opposite the children's play area.
