About the Clubs & Groups
- Photography Group
- The group has been running since January 2005 and was originally set up with a grant from
AimHigher. The grant, together with funding from the Citrus project (University of Wolverhampton)
provided funding for training and the original members of the group worked with a professional
photographer to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Regular exhibitions are held which are based around particular subjects that the group has
chosen. This allows group members to interpret the subject in anyway they choose and produces
a lively and interesting exhibition.
- The group meet every Monday at Park Lane Centre from 10.00am to 12 noon. New members are
always welcome, and help will be given to anyone new to digital photography. The only cost
involved is the purchasing of your own paper for printing.
- For further information contact Jackie Mount on 01952 410429 or e-mail her: jackiemnt@yahoo.co.uk
- Woodside Church
- Woodside Church doesn't have its own church building, but worship takes place in the
Park Lane Centre on Sunday at 10.30am.
- We are small in number but want to build a number of small communities of
hope that will bring members closer to God and to our neighbours.
- This is a pioneering set-up which, in recent years, has been exploring small
group patterns. Many in Woodside belong to a non book culture and this is
reflected in the approach taken by Woodside Church. Members are encouraged to
find and develope their gifts and use them in the life of the church where
appropriate.
- On Sundays the style of worship is open and charismatic. A flexible approach to
liturgy and the use of modern worship songs aids less able readers. The
creativity group comes together from time to time to explore their God given
gifts and wonderful works of healing have taken place in and through this group.
- Woodside Church is in the Madeley Team Ministry which is part of the Diocese of
Hereford in the Chuch of England. For more information see

materials and techniques that require enthusiasm and not experience.
