People of all ages visit the Park Lane Centre for a whole variety
of reasons. Within the local community there is a wealth of interesting clubs and groups for
you to join and participate in their activities. Some hold their meetings at the Centre.

About the Clubs & Groups
- Woodside Sequence Dance Club
- The club holds sequence, ballroom and line dancing every Thursday between 2 and 4pm. It is open to all, but present members are 65 plus.
- Social events include two holidays a year, day trips, parties and Christmas lunch.
- The club has taught 11 year olds to dance and its oldest participant (92) provides cakes and wine for other members

- Community Aerobics Classes
- All classes are instructed by highly qualified staff and offer an ideal
opportunity to improve stamina, suppleness, muscle tone and increase all
round fitness, while making new friends.
- The classes are suitable for both men and women (unless otherwise stated),
aged over 16 years and for all levels of fitness and aerobic experience.
- No prebooking is required just turn up. Wear loose fitting clothing,
suitable footwear and bring a drink.
- All daytime classes cost £1.50 and evening classes are £2. Some of
the classes offer a crèche, this costs 50p per family, regardless of numbers of
children.
- Class Details:
- Aerobics these classes offer a variety of moves
including salsa, kick-boxing and general aerobics, ensuring you
get a varied, enjoyable and motivational workout. Suitable for all ages and abilities.
- Pilates a combination of moves to promote flexibility and strength.
- Thighs, Bums and Tums target those problem areas.
- Brownies and Guides
- Woodside first Brownies meet at Park Lane Centre on Mondays between 6.15pm and 7.45pm
- Woodside Church

- Play Scheme
- A group for primary school aged children meeting at Park Lane Centre on Tuesdays from 3.30pm5pm.
- Junior Youth Club
- Youth Club for Years 6, 7 and 8 (1013years) meeting at Park Lane Centre on Thursdays from 4.45pm6.15pm.
- Baby Clinic
- 05 years a weighing and general enquiries session with Health Visitors at Park Lane Centre on Thursdays from 9.3011.30.
- Tots on Toes
- Music and movement for all ages, active fun and BIG equipment. Stories, songs and rhymes. Healthy snack and refreshments available. Every Friday morning at Park Lane Centre from 9.15am10.45pm £1 per week per family.
- Urge Drumming Workshop

- All levels of experience welcome. Please bring your own drums if you have them. Saturdays at Park Lane Centre between 1pm and 3pm
- Get Knitting
- Knitting for charity at Park Lane Centre on Wednesdays from 2pm4pm.
- Woodside Walks
- Group walks suitable for all leaving from Park Lane Centre on Wednesdays at 1pm.
- Life Long Learning
- Our aim is to provide learning opportunities for adults
and families across Telford & Wrekin, with over 2500 people using the
service each year, We work with local colleges and other partners
to support and organise courses in over 70 venues across the borough, so
you can be sure that there is something happening nearby.
- We also have staff who are based in the community who
are there to encourage and support you to take up learning and build on
your skills. We can offer impartial advice, information on courses
and retraining, support people with searching and applying for jobs and
help with preparing and improving your CV.
- We also run the Nextstep careers service which offers
in-depth, face-to-face careers advice. Nextstep can help you to
consider your career options, understanding your existing skills, advice
on local job vacancies and plan your future development.

Meeting on the 3rd
Thursday of each month, this group gives an opportunity for book lovers to meet
in an informal and friendly atmosphere
- Playing Together
- Have fun playing with your 05 year olds at Park Lane Centre on Fridays (term time only) from 1pm2.45pm.
- Weight Management Classes
- Personal Fitness Training with Scott Humphries to suit
all abilities NO DIETS REQUIRED! Please bring water and a mat or
towel. Saturdays 10.30am-11.30am
